Robert Payne

Originally from Bromley, London, I now live near Bath with my partner and young daughter. Having spent many years as a mortgage broker for a large corporate firm, Toby and I decided we wanted to offer a more personal and bespoke service, whilst still retaining high levels of professionalism. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing rugby and keeping up to date with all things sport.

I have always been based in the south-west, living in Bath. I started working at one of the UK’s largest mortgage brokers, after working my way up through the firm I decided that I wanted to offer a similar proposition to customers but make it much more enjoyable and personable for them and therefore, with Robert, founded Langley House Mortgages. In my spare time, you can find me playing rugby or enjoying anything property related!

Would highly recommend, as a first time buyer I didn't really know how the process all worked. Mitchell was extremely helpful guiding me through the process, Had great customer service, was very prompt answering any queries I had.The process of securing the mortgage offer was both very quick and relatively stress free. Toby helped us get a mortgage, a great main lender mortgage , when we thought all hope was lost. We had been advised for 6 months by another broker that due to one missed £15 payment on a credit card, over a year ago, that a “normal” mortgage wouldn’t be possible, meaning a rate of 6.6% AND to be locked in for 5 years.In 24 hours Toby secured a main lender mortgage in principal and thus saved us £18k. He followed this up with a firm offer within 1.5 days of us handing over the documents needed.He is swift, knowledgeable and efficient and I would recommend his company to everyone.
